Ishin Shishi"This is my humble abode for the two weeks we're staying here." clarified Rin, holding the door open politely for Ishin. "Taking a look at the West Wing rooms, mine appears to be preserved in the original style of the mansion as opposed to being converted into an inn-like area. The chandelier is a nice touch." he commented. "Certainly a lot of sitting room to be had. A lounge chair, a writing chair, and this ottoman-like structure... a footrest, is it?" he suggested. "What about you? How different does your room look from the rest?" As he asked this, he immediately moved to the corner, moving furniture just the slightest bit as to look more symmetrical and in-line with the tables and vanities they were paired with. " It looks like whoever was last in here posed all of this furniture to take a picture... perhaps that Siagyo lady that was mentioned by Ai? It's nice, but it won't do for a living space... excuse me while I try and clean up a little." he said, before taking a look out at the balcony. "This door is locked... but, what a view! You can see the courtyard down there... and past it, a few pastures. In the city, I never saw places this open except when I traveled to other nations."

He folded his arms, leaning against the wall next to the door as he watched the other fumble around his room. It was a bit more stylish than his own room, definitely. A lot more stylish and fitting to the setting, although he had never been the one to appreciate room arrangements. What he wanted from an enviroment was that it was clean, spacious, and it could be used for a good session of role playing. He was a bit too narrow minded in that aspect, he should really try and focus on more important things besides just that. Maybe this would be the break he needed to broaden his horizons, even if it was just only for a little bit.
"My room... I paid not much mind to it, honestly. It was fine for sleeping, it did not look like an absolute shanty, and I think the lamps were a bit too tacky for my liking. That's about all I can remember about it." He shrugged even a bit lazily and turned to stare to the door that had been locked. "Why is it locked? A bit strange, don't you think?"

"Perhaps it's a little strange, but I wouldn't think about that too much. There's probably still some cleaning or maintenance going on with the balconies and the outer staircase." reassured Rin. He flashed a grin, this time much more open and sunny than his default pleasant expression. "I could help you refurbish your room for you if it's not quite your style! Redecorating with given furniture and materials is right up my alley."
"Hey, if your room's kind of tacky... I-I'm sure the staff wouldn't mind if we fixed it up. The tackiness of a lamp is determined primarily by its shade design. Unless we're talking about lava lamps, which, frankly speaking, aren't very methodical ways of providing light to a room in general, but to be honest the light in each room seems to be mainly controlled by an overhead with a switch and the rest is for show..."
The conversation soon derailed into further discussion about furniture and the overall odd setting of the peace talks.
